Woman Charged With Larceny In Darien For Using Stolen License Plate, Police Say

A 47-year-old woman was charged in Fairfield County with larceny after allegedly using a license plate that had been reported stolen from another vehicle.

Sera Fina, address unknown, was arrested in Darien on Thursday, Sept. 7 after she approached a police officer for help with her vehicle.

According to Darien Police Sgt. Dan Skoumbros, while the officer was checking the vehicle's license plate they discovered it was reported stolen.

Fina said she recently bought the vehicle off the internet and didn't know, police said.

She was charged with:

Larceny
Improper use of a plate
Operating an unregistered vehicle

Fina was held on a $500 bond.
